Coverage 11pm til 6am ffs. No amount of love for motorcycle racing (or any other sport) would get me catching jet lag by watching it at those ungodly hours. Blows my mind how aussies get up for premiership footy etc.. Anyway, all predictions and daft opinions welcome. Ill start... It wont end well for Fabio.
Lol let me introduce you to virgin media and their unreliable piece of shite they call a set top box.
Again, lol. At least £30 a month more than a Sky package/dish, sadly i live in a grade 2 listed place so no dish allowed. I will get off my arse at some point and switch to sky glass though.
Philip Island is a bit of a one off circuit but it tend to reward bikes that turn well so I'm hoping Fabio will increase his lead.
Nice track PI, I went 8 years ago (Rossi won as I recall), paddock access was pretty good and met pretty much everyone you could imagine, windy as hell though being on the coast. It'll be an interesting weekend, Fabio should do well but it depends on the Italian Mafia and how many can get in his way and I suspect team orders will feature from here on in. Ducati should go well at Sepang but Valencia is a bogey track for them given it's 2nd/3rd gear mostly, so any advantage they can get here will be negated come Valencia.
I have a bad feeling fabio will crack under the pressure finally, especially as its a track hes expected to fare slightly better at. Sincerely hope i'm wrong.
In the industry though, we are all in total shock how successful SkyGlass has been for them in terms of profits and customer sentiment, it's been a superb product for Sky so far, I'd suggest the amount of moaning online is proportionate to the massive quantity of people that have bought it. Anyway, I think Fabio will win it or have a meltdown this weekend, but nothing in between. Jack Miller for the win.
FQ has always given me the impression that he doesn’t handle pressure too well. His massive lead has shrunk to next to nowt now. I think he’ll blow it. The fanny.
Aleix will take this one as the Ducatis mess it up crashing into each other and FQ goes for the safe second or third.
I believe you are mistaken. Being unable to cope with pressure and being overwhelmed by adversity are two different things. How can one be the standing MotoGP World Champ and still leading (not by much!) the ongoing championship if they don’t hold pressure? Not happening. Fabio is struggling because he is surrounded by to many Ducatis that seem not only superior to his Yamaha (where are the other Yam riders?) and now starting to show some group strategy, which cost him dearly last weekend (remember Zarco holding back at the end when he was way faster than the riders in front of him?). That and Marquez crashing into him are the main reasons his lead has shrunk so badly in the past couple races. Nothing to do with poor pressure management, imho. He doesn’t look to bad in FP, does he? Let’s see how he handles this weekend. I really hope he wins the title this year again as he’s been #1 through the entire season and really does great things with a ride that is not the greatest.
That’s optimistic for FQ. Last 2 races he’s finished 8th and 17th. The good news is, it’s still in his control. He just needs to hold his shit together.
Err, I think you’ll find FQ crashed into MM. But it doesn’t matter- unfortunate race incident. There’s no doubting his talent. He has phenomenal pace when the chips are up… But he seems to struggle when the chips are down. The key to greatness is finding your way when the going gets shitty. Anyhow, good luck to FQ. It’ll be an interesting run in. If he nails this weekend he’ll have one hand on the trophy
He'd have circa 7-10 point lead assuming Pecco is somewhere near the front, with 2 rounds left I wouldn't exactly call that 1 hand on the title.... He had 20 point lead going into the last race.
Fabio is the class of the field. Along with MM, who due to multiple championships is the lead rider. On a slower bike surrounded by ducati's Fabio is still leading. Its not going to be as easy as ducati hoped to buy the championship. I suspect next year the entire field will be funded by ducati and he'd still manage to put a good fight up. Things havent gone his way, that happens. Peco keeps blowing it and losing his nerve. Enea will trounce him next season.
Aye, but if he wins on Sunday his confidence will be on the crest of a wave. He’s hard to stop when he’s in the mood. And it isn’t raining…. Which it might be in Valencia
