  1. after seeing the release of what is a big let down sticker hype of stuff along with the upgrades from the 22 base.....id say go buy an r 1 then......

  2. yeah must admit i thought the same! basically the fairing and clock upgrades from the 22 sp2.
Yeah some detailed engine upgrades but where's the seamless clutch?
Hoped for a lot more tbh.

I like the akra racing exhaust, wonder how much that will be?

  3. so base 23 £22k
    wheelbarrow AKRAPOVIC £6k
evo3 software most std on the 23 £500
    FGRT and Marchesini

it'll be a lot easy to ride than 16500rpm...1100 makes its power a lot lower down the rev range.

  4. It looks like even the open carbon clutch cover is an extra (included with my bike).

The engine seems to be the biggest development. And removing slop from the throttle control…

Does this seem all that special?

  5. I'm a tad underwhelmed and have my name down for one, Bike + Akra System for the full HP and DTC 3 kicks it up to 46k, then I need track fairings and paint, its heading towards 50k .... will have a ponder .....

  6. The exhaust is £6500.......................................

Pricing has been adjusted on all the models it appears, a totally standard V4S is now £27,695. Even a Panigale V2 is now £16,800..

I'll leave you with this... You can spec your brembo stylema's to be red... that will be £750....

F*cking hell it's getting more Audi by the day...

  7. Its £6156, stop exaggerating ;-)

  9. Yeah, i have had a deposit in since the beginning of the year, list is now £38,995 before you add the £6k akra.
Going to have a ponder too! Think they are taking the p*** with £45.5k

At the moment i think i would rather chuck £50k at 1299 Superleggera

  10. New bike does look good though and let's be honest it has only been built for WSBK and nothing else. i am glad it revs more just to enjoy the whining from JR

  11. Hmm, at first glance I though it was a V4 Anniversario (that or they raided the stickers bin). The video spent a lot of time highlighting parts that are already stock on the 22/23 V4 and V4S such as the wings, new tank shape, lower fairings etc, so nothing radical there. They harped on about the brushed aluminium tank as well (already on the existing R and SP). EVO3 again nothing new. Engine power was a claimed 237bhp with the eye-watering £6K Akra wheelbarrow setup, though they said they could somehow tweak this to 240.5bhp with the use of different oil. Seems quite a bold claim.

No seamless gearbox then. The only innovative thing I saw were the gun drilled con-rods and revised pistons. Suspension and variable geometry again nothing new for 2023 compared to the existing V4R, nor the dash or software, aside from a new track only function that can be enabled (flashing rear rain light and some other specific modes). I have to say (as others have already mentioned) for a bike that is nudging £45K with the exhaust and a few extras, the new M1000RR is a lot cheaper and better equipped for the money, especially with the new entry/exit slide control. Some mentioned that perhaps Ducati ought to go down the "packs" route, so you could buy a "basic" V4R and add to it as you see fit. There used to be a time when you could buy say a 916SPS and they'd throw everything on it for you from the off such as paddock stands, cover, carbon mudguards, slip-ons etc. Now you want so much as a key fob, and you'll need a second mortgage. I suspect Ducati will want to milk at least one more year out of the current V4 Panigale platform before a new model is released to replace it. Then again if they can sell these for £45K a pop, I am not sure they will be in a hurry to. All in all a bit underwhelming and smacks or re-inventing the wheel to make a few more scheckles for the financial end of year report.

  12. Theyve been fleecing their customers to the benefit of VW/Audi shareholders for years. Many have stockholme syndrome on here. They pays the money coz its red, has 'character'. No, you are being and have been ripped off and thanking them for the priviledge.

  13. So the V4S is now almost £4K more than it was, when launched in 2018. £750 for the red calipers is a little far fetched as you say. You could have them professionally painted for a fraction of that (though who on earth would do such a thing!)

  15. Plastering number 1 on the bike - bit premature possibly?
    Brave or stupid o_O

  16. No; the "No 1" is just gauche. Hideous.
