Tracker

  1. Thinking of fitting a self powered tracker to my bike, the question is-Do I want it back after some toe rag has had it? Genuinely asking the question as I’m not sure that I would. The expense for the tracker is minimal

  2. Unless your insurance stipulates that you have to have one, I wouldn’t bother.

  3. Makes an insurance claim process easier if you have a demonstrable audit trail.

Whilst I never got my V4R back the ability to provide the movements details to the underwriters made the subsequent total loss claim smoother.

  4. That’s the question. For me it’s a no. Plus if it goes on the stolen recovered records it’s worth a lot less.
Had a tracker system on a Porsche Macan. Never again. Pain in the ass…

  6. I’ve a tracker on my Panigale (required).
When I asked my insurer whether it’d reduce the premium on my Hypermotard, the answer was negative!
