  1. Mr Marquez and the beast joint fastest top speed at 217.1mph in fp1

MM93 was his usual reckless self on that race incident, with no stakes in the championship. Just to remind everyone he should be reckoned with. Literally sending Fabio a « you can kiss my arse » type message. Aside from ruining Fabio’s confidence, it could have ended very badly for him and a couple other riders… And he got away with it, clean as a white sheet. Remember when Morbidelli rear-ended Zarco? There seems to be different rules for different riders.

Anyway, pretty sure if it was 8 Yams vs 2 Ducs on the MotoGP grid, Fabio would be in a much more confortable position to negotiate his title, this late in the season. Still, he led through most of the season. The kid has strong nerves, like it or not…

PS: That being said, I’d equally love to see a Ducati win the title! :D

  3. How was marquez reckless, he controlled a slide, which all the riders probably do, loads of times during a race and fq ran into the back of him

  5. Love or loathe MM, you can't possibly blame him for that. It's one of the most nailed on race incidents you'll ever see. Racers have to risk sitting on one another's back wheel for obvious reasons.

I've seen guys do it on track days. But if chummy boy at the front misses a gear or even hits the limiter- down you go. It's risky.

  6. Absolutely, there’s no discussion about all these fair points.

But then why did Zarco get nailed for breaking « too hard » in front or Morbidelli just after passing him? Didn’t Marquez do the exact same thing? Pass, brake too hard, lose control, etc. ?

In both instances, the cost could have been dramatic… « Un poids, deux mesures » as we say in French.

Anyways, back to the Aussie GP, it will be an amazing race no matter who one is rooting for!!

  7. 2 Hondas and two aprillia in the top seven should make things a little more interesting if it stays the same way.
Miller only just ahead of Cal lol. Goes to show how unpredictable it continues to be.
Hugely impressive from jd96 in that there moto2 and Ogden always seems to get himself up there when the playing fields are levelled a bit. Good to see :upyeah:
Please don’t let it fkn rain on Sunday :(

  8. Jake was stunning this am... he's 4 tenths clear of the next rider and nearly a second clear of the next Kalex rider. He's absolutely flying, you just don't see that in Moto2. It's only friday but the confidence should carry through. One thing I've noticed with Jake is that he actually seems to get stronger in the latest laps of the race

  9. You do t often see British riders handing a (proper) world class field their arses like that every day do you. Must have had 4 or 5 fastest laps chalked off for yellow flags too, and he still got his head down and does that. If it stays dry dare I say he could clear off and win no.1?

  10. I also forgot cal won here “back in the day”, check out the field he beat :astonished:

  11. I hereby swear, I will no longer jinx this poor lad in any way shape or form.

Think it’s safe to say a ducati will win tomorrow.

  12. MM93 would be on pole, were it not for the incident at Lukey Heights and he has won there three times already.

  13. Maybe, you could also say he was trying to keep up with a better bike (pecco) and went over the hondas limits.
    Here’s hoping anyway ;)

  15. Some would even venture to say MM93 « sucked » air from Pecco’s rear wheel…

  16. Best race of the year.

  18. What a great race weekend!
Moto3 Guevara champion winning the race!
MotoGP incredible with Marc back (100 podiums), Suzuki winning races the year they leave, Ducati incredible!
Pity how Fabio have lost last races, how Miller was out race that way!

  19. Absolutely epic days racing.

Shame nepa held up that group of four from hanging onyo the lead four in moto3 seemed a bit daft to me.
Don’t think anyone can deny izan is the worthy champion though, he’s been magnificent most of the year.

Another superb ride from Dixon in m2 and lovely touch dedicating it to CR.

What a moto gp race though. If you didn’t enjoy that I fear motorcycle racing isnt for you lol.
Absolutely love how no one in that field gives way to 93 anymore and Rins has a habit of pipping him on the line doesn’t he.
Fkn fabulous stuff. Can we go there every week please?
