Hi, looking at buying this panigale 899 Is any previous owner on here? Hoping for some feedback on reliability and any info generally. Many thanks Steven
I've had mine 5 years now and it's been great bike with plenty of usable power. You will find that they run very warm in traffic it can be uncomfortable sometimes but it's just something you will get use to. Dont be afraid of playing around with the rider modes. They make a very noticeable difference. Plenty of info on YouTube if your unsure and very easy to return to factory setting if you get lost . I found a taller screen makes a big difference but it looks like this one has one already. Nice to see it already has the Termis fitted as they make big money if you can find them secondhand. You may need some baffles in them if you intend to take it on the track. As always with these there's a big service at 15 thou so definitely check that it's been done. Only had one problem with mine and it was the gear indicator sensor which is fairly common on these but no big deal to sort. Occasionally I need to bleed the clutch master cylinder as sometimes it bites to early. 5 mins job. Originally they came with red wheels but I think the black ones look good against the white bodywork. Overall I would say they are a great road bike and surprisingly comfortable for a sport bike.
Even better than that, those wheels look like Dymags, or Marchesini’s ??? Your looking at £2 grand plus for a set lightweight wheels like those, if the bikes a realistic price go for it I’ve had my 899 from new, Sept 2014, it’s been a flippin brilliant bike, almost 30,000 miles on it now and I’ll never sell it, I just keep feeding it expensive bits, BST’s, K-Tech etc.. Gonna have it buried with me !
It's a good price I feel ,7k but will need the Desmo doing. I have also seen one with 28k on clock but one owner and protwins service full and totally stock bike. The white one has had 7 owners, is this normal for Ducatis to change hands ?
Bought mine with 2.5K miles on the clock (959) and it already had 4 or 5 owners. That’s just a Ducati thing where people buy them, don’t / can’t get on with them and sell em on. Nowt to worry about!
Can you confirm what make those wheels are? If it’s £7k including those I would snap it up, try and use the upcoming Desmo service as a lever to get the price down a bit more, still a decent buy at that price mind
Hard to make out which wheels are on. Deffo not std. Gia Moto rear sets, DP filler cap and indicators, it’s had some money thrown at it.
The prettiest panigale and dare i say the most fun to ride. Looks lie you got some nice extras on it too ££ Enjoy.
