Aussie Moto Gp (there Will Be Spoilers But Who Knows When)

  1. The yamaha engine for next year sounds to be a big step forwards. The issue is that the Ducati will certainly take a step forwards, and then with only two bikes out there next year, it isn't a lot of opportunity to learn for 2025. Cal said he has an idea that he thinks can help the

I don't think Fabio's lost his head. I just think he's over riding the bike, because he may as well crash trying than not try...

Incidentally, same issue in WSBK, Jonny no-personality is moaning that he needs more power, but Ducati just released another bike which will surely be faster in race trim, so the gap will remain... Although on that front, it's JR's fault, if the internet is in anyway shape or form accurate, he had the chance to sign with Ducati, but he stayed with Kawasaki.

    Anyway..

Jake Dixon, another absolutely superb weekend. I'm not sure he will ever get a GP chance, because honestly I think Rory Skinner might come through like a wrecking ball and end up on a GP bike after a few years in Moto2.

  2. That also applies to Bagania this year, how many times has he dropped it when leading a race...........he should be world champion by now for sure.

  3. Crashing, Give it time when he gets his confidence back and starts really pushing that envelope home.

  4. Haters will always hate, ah he is British so must be shit and that Honda is so easy to ride ;)

  5. I’m fifty in a couple of years time and I’ve decided I’m not having a party I’m going to do at least two of the fly away rounds to include PI. Aim is hopefully to include Japan as I’ve never been to either country.

  6. I don't hate him or any other rider for that matter, they're all bloody fast riders.!, but you do have division one, two, three GP riders in my opinion.

  7. I largely agree with this but you won’t find anyone who gives more effort and contributes to that “aprillia family”. Look how he’s single handedly nurtured maverick back to some kind of form.
We love Aleix in this house :upyeah:

  8. 100% as he's never been there at the sharp end before now, so all new for him but he's had a great season so far with perhaps a third place at the end of the championship...which is pretty damn good based on a lot of talent he racing against.

  9. Toyota own 5% of Suzuki and 3% of Yamaha. I don't think that is enough to be able to tell either of them what to do.

Suzuki need to develop a new engine (a V4) and that cost may have frightened them.

  10. It needs to be a V4 too. V4 will be more powerful than an IL4 because physics.
Without V4 power Yamaha will not be able to run as much aero so they will lose out in the corners and under braking as well as down the straight.

(TBC I am aware who won the last race and I can't explain that.)

  11. Funny man! :D:upyeah:

  12. I've done both Motegi and PI, and spent weeks in either country... happy to help with any questions/planning etc.

  13. Ducati have achieved what every other manufacturer has been striving for for years, developing a bike that multiple people can ride, Honda especially should take note and Yamaha over the last 4-5 years.

The issue with that is that Ducati have the enviable problem that multiple riders can win races, but Ducati's bigger problem as I understand from an article I read recently is they don't pay well (unless you're Rossi/Lorenzo) and weight heavily towards points/win bonuses which obviously works as an incentive, but when push comes to shove why follow team orders if you're going to get penalised financially for helping out?

  14. Despite developing a bike theyve still won fuck all. Yup they may this year after chucking more money at it than any other manufacturer could hope for. Building a powerful bike that needs shed loads of controls, aero and what knows what else at it and filling the grid up with ducati's. Its fast in a straight line, maybe they should go drag racing. If it was still 500 2 strokes, theyd never get out of the car park. Make no mistake, this championships being won at a financial level. Racing is taking a back seat and the machine is now the winner. The riders? Meh, Audi will have a robot on it if they could. You'd all lap it up as ducati win yay! Well, Im a cynical old bastard and I do not for one minute think this is good for the sport.

Moto3 is still the best racing. GP is machines focused and riders are secondary. Thats how I see it going.

  15. I did the no limits PI track day, no planning required they do it for you

  16. I think you misunderstood the original question, this isn't about doing a TD it's about going to watch MotoGP at PI and Motegi.
