  1. Bought the album in '76 (red vinyl) - still got it. Chapman - such a distinctive voice...

  2. The new stuff has divided Artic Monkeys fan base, I’m not a fan of either of the last 2 albums.

  3. The Last Shadow Puppets is a hint to his future style, he loves a ballad.

  4. Starting 1st listen to The Car - Arctic Monkeys, to be followed with Toursim by Leftfield, then Closer - Joy Division then maybe Pink Flag -Wire. But prob Edwyn Collins

  7. I remeber Pilot - January. Sick and tired, you've been hanging on me. You make me sad with your eyes. You're telling me lies .Don't go, don't go.

  8. Now there's a blast from me past... get back from the pub for a few more & a smoke and get the albums out. I never used to like Beefheart so when the good lady put him on I used to retire to bed.... but usually lay there listening & thinking well he's not that bad. In fact there's some good stuff on there.

And here I am 25 years later still listening to it and still thinking he's ridiculous in places but absolutely sublime in others.

  9. And another from years ago with the late night drinks, smokes & albums.

Although I would prefer to go back one incarnation and recommend:

  14. Listening to Stone Broken and Dead Daisies as I have booked tickets to see them soon at KK Steel Mill in Wolverhampton.

I did go to the recent concert for Whitesnake supported by Foreigner and Europe. Sadly DC can no longer sing. Was good to see him finally though. Foreigner were amazing!!!

  15. A quick web search shows that could be worth around 120 quid... possibly enough for tankful of gas.

I'm pretty sure my copy didn't come with the comic or if it did it has been lost in one of the many subsequent melees. I'm not sure any of my albums are actually in their correct inner sleeves.

  16. £120. Cost me £15 from Greenwich Market back when the market was good. I.e when it first started. Or was it Beano's in Croydon? Cant effin remember now. I miss Beano's. I spent a fortune in that shop.

Not sellin. I also have it on digital

  17. Ooo... just listened to this again and got a little weepy during most of the tracks - particularly "Remember" & "Heavy Load". It is a fine fine album but I'm not sure if it's the tracks themselves or the memories of youth & lost dreams they have invoked...

    I suspect the latter :(
