Ordered a new multi (PP) from Blade Oxford and was told the extras (heated grips etc) are now all fitted by the dealer rather than factory and that the fitting will be charged at £90 per hour labour. Said it was new policy from Ducati. Do all your dealers charge for fitting extras on the new bike?
My PP has just arrived at the dealer and all the extras will be fitted free of charge. They also offered to fit the EP radiator guards and tail tidy that I bought separately for free as well. Said they would be happy to as they’d be working on the bike anyway.
My personal opinion is you are better giving your business to a specialist Ducati dealer rather than a multi franchise tin shifting outfit. The difference is really noticeable.
Not in my experience. It would seem that although the name ‘Blade’ is being used by a different parent company, the dubious practices of the old ‘Blade’ franchise remain. Andy
nope never been charged to fit and echo most comments above, they supply (if necessary) and usually fit FOC other stuff like evotech etc when asked. on new bikes obviously or when being serviced
As you've been advised, cancel whatever you've ordered and tell them about their bad practice! Simply another way/attempt to screw the customer. Not good enough or acceptable....
New policy? Sounds like BS to me. As others have said, cancel the order and take your money elsewhere, preferably to a reputable dealer.
I got part way through purchasing a new bike with Blade oxford but found them very, very arrogant and cancelled and then went to Chris walker Ducati for a new multi v4s and who were great and eager for the business and they fitted engine bars, sat nav holder, heated grips , hand guards , fitting f.o.c . Ask for chris or mark
No , not charged, my dealer Worcester Ducati have been brilliant, they make you want to buy a bike, and the next ....... 3 Multis in , no additional charges .
