For Sale Ebay Bikes

  1. I was going down the route of "out of touch with reality" like you.:upyeah:

  2. Blimey!

Website says zero miles but gubbment tax/MOT website shows over 2300 miles at last MOT. Pictures on DMC website for this bike look like it has been used, and isn't exactly £73K mint IMHO.

I'm out..... (not that I was ever in in the first place....)

  3. Two lads in the village I grew up in bought an AR and AE proceeded to de restricted them, they were pretty nippy. Preferred the AE version, lad local to me rides around on an AR Green version in all weathers.

  4. And there is a 200 mile discrepancy in the MoT mileage history. Andy

  5. From another Desmo thread regarding the cost of fixing a misfire, it's probably worth having a compression test done before handing over the full £73K!

  6. Who's with that asking price, only for the well heeled folks me thinks like our @El Toro .:grinning:

  7. naughty naughty, so they clocked it? incredible.. (also out now)

  8. Sorry i have not looked into the details as i don't have that available cash for just one motorcycle, but yes if it's on the internet, then it must be true.

  9. Agree, I read only yesterday about your Lamborghini you dark horse.

  10...i don't have a car Chris ( the land rover defender's not counted) if i was going to purchase a sports car for my final years then it would have to be a Porsche 964 / 4.

  12. More likely a typo I'd say, as only a slight bit of research which I imagine most people would perform before dropping £73k, would show it wasn't in zero miles condition.

  13. Strange that there's no information about the actual bike on eBay or on their website.

  14. I think you’re being quite charitable Mr Bimble, there’s a great big nought on the heading page that you can’t miss.

  15. In @RTD ’s link, the bike is accurately described. Still trying fathom why an MV dealer in London is selling a bike advertised on DMC Birmingham’s web site but hey, ho. Bottom line though, a 2500 mile D16RR is not worth £72K. Depending on history and originality, probably £50K something, IMO obviously :D Andy

  16. Maybe naive, but can't see how such an error could be deliberate as it would clearly come out during any checks anyone considering a £73k bike would carry out. If the dealer said, we thought it was zero miles, then you would surely question their competence and simply walk away!

The dealers website(s) now show a more believable 2400 miles, but still £73k!

Still zero miles on eBay though.
