  1. Anyone looking forward to this or can we not get past the sports washing and the general inconvenience of it disrupting the proper football?

Ingurlund in group B with iran 'merica and wales - if you cant get out of that what hope have you got!

  2. Is anyone actually going over there?

  3. As per usual, England will qualify through the group stage with wins for sure but despite it being probably one of the weakest groups in the competition they’ll be lacklustre and painful to watch.

Then as soon as we come up against a team half decent they’ll be on the first bad back to the airport.

  5. Hasn't been like that for a while, now I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but on recent form it probably won't.

  6. a bit like Southgate

funny watching him start at least 4 players out of position on Monday night

    never learn do they

  7. I'd rather watch paint dry

  8. I have no interest in this one. This World Cup is about money. No way should it be in December.
England may not make it out of the group, don’t discount Wales or the U.S, they have more “heart” than England, Iran will want to prove a point too.

I’ve watched a couple of Nations League games, Kidderminster Harriers could’ve beaten England.

  9. It’s certainly going to feel strange watching a World Cup final a week before Christmas!

  11. I think I would rather breathe.....

  12. No interest in this one. I was only interested in previous ones to know when it would be a good time to ride my bike because everybody else would be watching the TV. Which muppet scheduled this one in the off-season?

  14. Decided i will be boycotting this.

Not just in solidarity with our lgbtq brothers and sisters and the 15000 workers who died building it but because i fancy a break from footy full stop right now.

I also note the full sports washy thing is in full effect this weekend, which also makes me rather nauseous...

  15. No, retired some years back, he gave up playing for England way before he gave up playing for NU to extend his domestic game. From memory 2006 from league playing maybe a couple of years previous stopped playing for England.

Still top goal scorer in the Premier league I believe.

  16. The wrong shape football for me, so no thanks.:mask:

  17. I read today, the Qatari royal family has demanded that selling alcohol at the World Cup stadia is stopped. Awkward as Bud is a major sponsor. Andy

  18. Always surprises me a bit that but i guess there cant be that many strikers whove had 20 year careers in the PL.

The FPL site has him on 260 career (league) goals

Premier League Player Stats - Goals

And Wiki has him on 283, who to believe lol

    Alan Shearer - Wikipedia

  19. I’d like it to be 283 but it’s 260 according to this footie fanzine.

I used to like watching Shearer play, followed Newcastle with interest when he played not so much now.

The only player I’ve seen that Roy Keane didn’t try to hobble after a falling out at a ManU NewU game. Shearer did Keane up like a kipper during that incident.
