Its a 3.9m catamaran, for solo trapeze sailing next spring & summer. Little thing only weighs 98kgs! Should be good for 15mph plus which is good for a sailboat. I'll keep it a Carsington Water.
Moved lots of window frames around a large council building. Off out for a curry with three friends tonight to talk about where and when for next year's bike road trip.
Noticed my koi pond was slowly emptying and finally traced it to a chewed return pipe which i managed to plastic weld. Also noticed they’ve had a go at the liner too. It’s a constant war with the little bastards, the joys of living in the countryside.
I’ve got a steel mesh cover over the pond (I had a nylon mesh but the rats chewed their way in!) but the plumbing for the pump and filter are external, running around the rear of the pond. In the past I have set up a sniper point but it was only partially successful when after shooting a few of them I then noticed a hole in the garage door so that stopped
Was it a Rat sized hole or pellet? My old neighbour kept Chickens, he spent unknown hours trying to keep the Rats out.
I needed a length of unfinished timber so nipped along to B&Q for it. I asked one of the workers there if he could arrange to cut it so I could get it in my car. He said they couldn’t cut it in store because it’s been treated. I asked if they had a saw I could borrow so I could cut it. They said I couldn’t cut it in store either but could do so in the car park. However, they couldn’t lend me a saw because I might cut myself with it and sue them. “Oh FFS”, thinks I. There were some palettes beside us so I propped the timber against them and snapped it with my foot. I then asked if I could get a discount because it was broken. He didn’t see the funny side.
Went to see Saxon at Newcastle City Hall. Cant beat the smell of patchouli oil and deep heat in the evening...
