All the 250 two strokes are silly money now but for some reason the Aprilia’s are up for really ridiculous money and they are the worst of the hand grenade with the pin pulled out 2t engines.

The RS versions are in a higher state of tune than the RGV versions I recall from a magazine review when they were released back in the day.

Even the RS 125 are creeping up slowly for a restored/well maintained. I happened upon a RGV in my local in for repair, a potential buyer had over revved this chaps and melted the front piston.

I have instilled in my lad that he warms his SX50 up correctly before he sets off, no just kicking it over and riding off. Some of his teachers have commented on how loud it is as have a grumpy old fart next door but one……

 

eBay police are a joke. A few years back I tried to list a magazine for a rifle, They threatened to cancel my account if I listed it. I told them to do a search for what I wanted to list, which would have had hundreds of hits. All they said was if I cared to complain about an ad, they'd have a look at it...

Urm, no that was some marketing BS. They just played around with the power valve openings vs the RGV's to give it some midrange. Engine parts are interchangeable.

Still 15k for nothing special when the rest are around the 9-10 mark is very, very optimistic.

 

Before I knew him a mate had a RS250 car ploughed into the back of him punting his bike under a truck at a crossroads. There wasn’t a lot left of his bike, luckily for him he was not in the seated position.

 

I think I’ll just stick with my nice and reliable Honda 250 thanks.

I'm with you all the way as they've lost their way and many customers these days, i'd getaway with listing and selling two bottles of whiskey a few year back, i just added them in with other stuff and didn't mention the word whiskey.
