  8. Took delivery of a new pair of xl moto bike jeans, less than half price in their Bf sale. They fit really nice and aren’t made from that stupid stretchy denim my others are made from.

  11. What is it with bathroom fitters and waste plumbing. I’ve had a couple of houses where the wastes were messed up. Mostly this caused gurgling noises. In my current house the shower, bath and sink wastes have been commoned up. The way it was done meant that, after someone has a bath, bath water backwashes into the shower, emptying the trap as it goes so it’s both messy and smelly. Unfortunately, the whole bathroom is tiled. Even the bath is tiled in.
Today I broke open a tiled-in pipe box between the bath and shower to fit an NRV in the waste pipe. I managed it without messing up the tiles (Dewalt multitool :upyeah:). It was so tight for space though, there’s about 8” between the bath and shower, and things were a little out of line, they had used a flexi-coupler but I didn’t have enough room to reuse it, so I really struggled but eventually got there.
I’ve tested it and it has fixed the problem so I’m quite pleased with myself. I’ll leave it open for a few days to make sure it doesn’t leak after some heating-cooling cycles. Then I need to put the pipe box back together in a way that it is easily dismantled because the NRV will need some maintenance.
