For me it would be gloss, the matt stuff looks just like the original black plastic we'd be replacing and I've never seen the point in replacing a nice painted part with carbon but that's just me, I like it shiny!
Gloss goes well with the metallic black paint on my 1198S. But as I am always getting it secondhand it depends on what I can find. Does anyone have any surplus carbon bits btw? Particularly looking for a carbon nose cone.
Neither, even though I've spent loads on carbon for my enduro. It's just a fad that only you feel great about for a limited length of time.
re: nosecone you and me both - there was a "shop-soiled"/second on EBay for months that I was tempted by - I bet you saw it even. Fullsix seem to have reverted to batch manufacture now but worth waiting for.
I prefer minimal CF on ancilliary parts personally. But then if someone does full carbon well, like Tops, that looks good too. It all depends on the execution really. Ive seen full carbon look like a dogs dinner but if the owner loves it, who am i to argue?
Both.Gloss on Monster, matt on Hyper. If I was buying another set of carbon wheels it would certainly be gloss. Had a set of gloss Dymags in the past and not a mark on them when sold after four years of use.
