  8. Beautiful bike in fantastic condition!

Do 748R’s look somehow different to the 916 series?

They always seem to look so good but I can’t put my finger on if they actually look different or it’s just in my head!

  9. I’m probably wrong as I’m not an aficionado on the variants but being the forerunner of the 996, the 916 has the three spoke wheels. Also frame and wheel colour was different. Gold as opposed to the later grey. As I said, I’m happy to be educated if I’m wrong.

  10. bang tidy that

  11. Man that titanium goodness. I need a 748r in my life. Is 5 v-twins too many? Luckily 3 of them are red so swmbo thinks they are all the same one.

  15. If you get the SP-1, as it’s mostly red, she won’t notice. ;)

  16. Ha I’m just looking at a low miler SP 1 in red right now. It’s not as refined as the SP2 but I like the looks more. Seeing as my first bike was an 888 I don’t mind the lack of niceties.

  17. I had an SP-1 new in 2000. Was an eye opener for me. Used to commute on it and everything. Once I revalved the front forks and increased the preload spacers it was a dream.
