People always say this about carbon wheels.. There's definitely pot holes where I live, but carbon wheels or not, I choose to ride around those pot holes. Isn't that the sensible option?
It is, until a pothole appears from under a car/truck you’re following and you can’t avoid it. All the same, enjoy your carbon wheels. The fact is, if you use any wheels on the road they risk being damaged. That’s life.
Personally I much prefer Matt carbon. It looks much more modern. I don’t like dull things, so I haven’t ticked the choices above.
Oh dear Sam. I see we’re going to have to enrol you at the carbon fibre appearance correctional college. Gloss is the right answer
Matt/satin/frozen, whatever you want to call it, is an ‘in’ look for now. Loads of cars are coming out with it. It does look cool but ffs don’t mark it. It’s very high maintenance and much more difficult to correct should you scratch it. Any detailer will advise you to PPF any vehicle with a factory matt paint job.
I’ve deleted my previous post, and have to say both! Mainly satin on the bikes, gloss on the car. Either way, it’s bloody expensive, but looks the part.
your timing couldn’t be better Sam, what with the pantomime season up and running - “ Oh yes, it is!”
Oh yes it is. Talking of timing, I’ve just bought a used gloss carbon fibre hugger. I’ll be sanding it down and coating it with matt or satin. Ho,ho, ho.
