Another vote for Jerez! best track I've ridden by a mile. The biggest challenge was making sure I didn't hold my breath around FF1 and FF2 (F*cking fast 1, and F*cking fast 2)... The ONLY other negative thing about Jerez was that the best loca/close Hospital is a private one, which is a but tricky with insurance. It's just something to be aware of and we weren't but will be next time. As I said in another thread, I just got back from Cartagena on Saturday (and got Covid as punishment for a week away in the sun!) and had a good time, but Jerez has slightly ruined other spanish tracks for me, and ironically due to costs I probably spent more on Cartagena than I did going to Jerez last year.
Hi @tcrofty7 was good to meet, you were indeed going well, we all had a great time apart from my friend Grace crashing her V4R and obviously @zxstu exhaust issues, he will get that fixed no doubt, I hear JHP have a solution for him if he picks the phone up to Rick. Love Jerez, was 2nd time there for me and its up there with some of the best tracks I've ridden. We're just about to book Brno for next year if you fancy it. One pice of advice, always take staff !!!
Just booked Jerez for early April and have Portimao end of May. I'm likely to do UK tracks through summer and then do a couple of euros at the end of the year.
Portimao is up there with jerez. If you like cadwell, you'll live it. Aragon is another dream track, but not as available as others
I'm on the end of may Portimao trip, big group of mates booked. Amazing track, doesn't have the flow or outright grip of Jerez, but the last turn and run down to turn 1 is life affirming.
Nice one. I'm making a bit of a holiday out of it and taking the family. Hopefully see them lovely boots again some time soon
Jerez, great track!! I think that was my first Euro a long time ago, been back a few times since. Turn 5 (Pons) is a tricky blind off camber corner I've run wide a few times there myself over the years. The trick with Euro's is to have a few extra days, either before or after and get your energy back and enjoy the cities/towns, as you say it's full on for the 3 days. Some companies are better than others for Euros, NL for example you only need to sign on on the first day, my last FE Euro they didn't explain you had to sign on and do the briefing every day, might not seem much but it means you need to be there early whereas with NL you could have an later start on day 2 and 3.
Jerez is incredible… truly incredible.. I didn’t realise just how much even when I was there than I do looking back
When i was there I wasn't that impressed. I don't think it had really sunk in how good the place was. Maybe a it was my first ever Euro out just became a bit of a blur?
interesting mate… for me I actually thought it would be a bit of a typical Spanish track but obv it’s a proper gp track so it’s smooth and well looked after. I was on a Daytona 675 and the bike was just so nice to ride around there, everything flowed and linked together. Perhaps it’s a little more stop start on the fast bikes but I can’t comment.
I have only ever seen Jerez on the TV, and watching it on the TV the place looks so impressive. I had an image in my minds eye of what the circuit and facilities would be like. To my mazement it was nothing like what i thought it would be like. The facilites are quite dated, similar to UK tracks, but the track itself is amazing. Great quality asphalt a bit like Silverstone. The track is amazing on a litre bike. Such a nice flowing track. I can't wait to go back in April!
Brno’s a fab track. Proper thou track, love it! Just booked Jerez for March next year… woo hoo! Finally Followed by 5 days enduro in the Algarve. Best get some training in
