I’m not sure why BBC Sports are billing the France vs England game as “historic”. After all, the FIFA world cup happens every 4 years and the result is not going to have any “historic” effects, it’s not like it’s going change the price per KWh of electricity or reduce global warming. If it could, that would historic. I fully expect the England team to perform as they usually do in times of high expectation, so disjointed and ineffective, an under 10’s team could beat them. Andy
Because in the sporting sense it is, not sure how many times we’ve played against the French at this point of a WC.
I don’t go often only when everyone else refuses to go, the rest of our happy crew have been in Dublin since March. I’ve been recruited for Larne for a Month, luckily not Derry this time.

I was gutted when I drew Morocco in the Chambers sweepstake but what a team they’ve turned out to be! Even if I didn’t have a couple of hundred quid riding on it, I’d still be rooting for them if England don’t get past France.
Straight down the tunnel. No leadership towards his colleagues. No acknowledgment of the fans Poor form
My youngest son is playing in a futsal tournament up north today and about 90% of his teammates are Portuguese or Brazilians. I imagine it’s going to be a grim ride home on the team coach for him, watching the England v France match on his phone, surrounded by a couple of dozen miserable fvckers
