Some nice food and drink in that there London town yesterday evening with six friends. An hours walk upto see my dad this morning in the frost and fog, Florence was in the mood for cuddles. Wifey picked us up at lunch time, now doing very little for the rest of the day.
Visited a local ish farm shop to spend some vouchers we were given, when they messed up our meat order last Christmas. Bought beef cheek, IOW blue cheese and chicken breasts for katsu curry. On our way home, decided to pop in to one of our not so regular haunts for a snack and a beer. We were greeted at the door by the (unbeknownst to us) new licensee with ‘I’m sorry we are closed, the refurbished pub doesn’t open until tomorrow. If you are interested we are doing a dry run and food tasting of the new menu to test the kitchen. I’m sorry you’ll have to pay for your drinks but the food is free’ Absolute result 2 hours later, stuffed to the gills, got home and now sitting in a chair fighting the Andy
Cooked a fry up for the family, prepped Sunday roast (pork), chopped some logs for the fire, had a snowball fight, read the papers, cooked and ate dinner, put marzipan on the Christmas cake (so I can ice next week), prepped the vw for some camping over Christmas and sorted stuff out for work tomorrow.
Haha Not a lot although I did manage to grab 20 mins for myself and installed the battery feed for the TomTom on the duke to save my faffing around with a usb.
