  8. I looked at these a while ago and then saw the price!

Lovely model - nothing out there that compares with it.

  9. Tried to find the build video I saw from years ago - found it but realised it was the Anniversario model that I had seen.

They did a Panigale S as well. https://www.scalemates.com/search.php?fkSECTION[]=All&q=1:4++Pocher

The older models are discontinued and thus up for sale on ebay at extortionate prices.

This was the build video I watched some of years ago (far too long to watch it all) I remember thinking it looked like far too much work to go to the lengths this guy did - and the equipment he used was pretty extensive too. I would imagine there are folks who pay people to build these models for them because they want to put them on display with their bike collection - but don’t want to spend the time and effort required to do a good job of building them.

This guy has done a multipart build series - doesn’t seem to go to the extreme degree of detail that the pro model builder did above so it’s less intimidating!

For those of you that haven’t registered the scale here’s a pic to show how big it is.

  11. wow.. I'd love one of these... looks amazing. Why does it come with two front wheels though??

  12. I knew someone would ask! - was thinking the same.. split rear to get tyre on?

  13. I showed this to my Mrs and asked her to guess how much.
    She guessed £1000.
I told her not to be stupid. It’s a model of a bike that only costs £10000 brand new.
She recalibrated to £100 and we settled at £75.
I’m off new bike shopping soon :D

  14. Have fun building it, but before you start i would advise getting taps for the predrilled holes as the threads are not that great. Other than that a great piece of kit

  15. When you complete it, you will leave it on the side and when you return the fairing screws will be missing.

  17. TBH was expecting at least £2000.
It must be mental amount of work to every single detail from a bike and then reduce to a smaller scale.

  18. You are kind of correct - the kit is stunningly detailed by any normal standard…….. but apparently there are people who like to take things even further.

There’s a third party company that produce additional - even more detailed parts - and looking at the price it would triple the total cost!

    https://shop.autographmodel.com/Aut...it-HK117-Ducati-1299-Panigale-R-Final-Edition

So if your quest for detail includes fabricating a wiring loom complete with connectors and have a large amount of both money and time……….

“We will produce the new Transkit in an edition of only 55 pieces. Unfortunately, there are scheduling problems with some of our suppliers, so we have planned the delivery of the kits for autumn 2022. The price has not yet been finalized either, although we are aiming for the old price of 1550 euros (including German VAT).”

Or theres’s a much cheaper kit that replaces all of the tiny cross head screws in the kit with tiny little scale replicas of the real bolts! :bucktooth:

  19. Can they also replicate the corrosion that inevitably occurs 1 day over the warranty period?
