  1. That's my work horse, used for commute and weekend rides. Frame is made of steel, wheels are alloy and weighs less than 9.5kg

  2. No pic I'm afraid, been a out a few times this week on mtb's.... It's super wet and sloppy on my local trails, a real mudfest, quite fun to ride in a filthy kind of way hahaha

I'll drag the ribble out on Sunday and keep clean for a change

  6. Yesterday I set out to ride the longest single ride I’ve ever ridden before, which is 99 kms. My plan was to ride to Gillingham, Sturminster Newton, North Dorset Trail to Shillingstone and back. Sadly I failed, as my rear light was running out of battery, it started raining so was darker than I hoped for. But I managed 47 miles, had the pasty and got back to Gillingham, bike needs another clean and lube for a gentle 22 mile flat ride today.

  8. This morning was the first sub zero commute to work of the season - I watched it steadily falling and it just reached -1 degree before I climbed out of the chilly valley (where it is always colder...)

  9. Tuesday 20, cold but no wind. Screw came out of a cleat and had twisted so Rode 10 miles with only one foot clipped in.

  10. Is this the right thread for e-dirt-bikes?

Just thinking of a winter fitness/track skills tool......

  12. It’s too cold for me outside, so Zwifting to keep me in with a chance of hitting my 3,000 mile target.

  13. Erm fine by me, not sure you’ll gain much traction on this thread from we happy few. That’s more a motorcycle than a pusho. I’ve toyed with the idea of buying one but they’re unsuitable for built up MTB trails and natural Singletrack as they tear up the surface too much.

Do you mean just riding motor propelled fitness as in riding skills, as for me there’s no ‘fitness’ to be gained by riding one. Not sure you’ll gain much in track skills dependent on the surface you’ll ride on.

If you take it on MTB trails you’ll encounter grief in my opinion riding at speed. You’ll be limited on where you can ride it too legally as it’s classed as a Moped/motorcycle. if I were you I’d try and demo an ebike at a trail centre although more likely you’ll end hiring one.

Not sure on your nearest MTB trail centre as I just ride my local tracks/trails, you’re London village based? So can’t imagine how long it would take to travel to anywhere remotely viable.

Might be best talking to a specialist seller, this is OMG’s racing eBike shop, not far from his dyno trackday bike workshop.

As an aside my lad races here in the Winter as do a few circuit racers just to keep their hand in. It’s a small circuit indoors, you’ll need to do at least a level 1 course, but it is good fun non the less. Maybe you could try and make a group out of the trackday fun steps on here.

There’s a few speedway days at other locations, my lads going to one in Scunthorpe in the new year just for the shits and giggles. Not to start his speedway career.

  14. Since Sunday I’ve been riding my roadie on the rollers with Zwift as my host and Pete Tong as background noise. It’s keeping me going, but it’s far from the real deal. It’s not just the freezing temperatures, farmers are hacking the hedges pretty hard so punctures are highly likely. Here’s hoping I can get out on my gravel bike before long…..

  15. Ice and sub zero all week has put me on the turbo trainer for the week, keeps me spinning and sweating but an hour is all my head can handle of it.

Treacherous round my way at the minute though, peddling commutes, turbo and walks have kept me moving.

Gotta keep spinning one way or the other.

  16. I can’t even handle 30mins. I did a maximal power test years ago and even that was doing my head in.

  17. I've been peddling to the gym and back, roads as well as the cycle paths are bloody sketchy! Started skipping of all things, that's a flippin challenge!

  18. Apparently all the young things call it jump rope…….

Skipping is rock hard, when my Daughter was a lot younger she’d skip for ages. I had an bash, but not for long……..

My Mrs and lad are even better, from their boxing training………

    Just for you Nelson

For a moment I though that was going to be a trailer for the next Dune....'He who controls the spice controls the universe, the spice must flow'

  20. I wish it was a trailer for the next film, it’s been too long since Dune…………Hoping a cinema shows both films back to back in IMAX.

    just a MMO game
