Mp3 player, music fends off the insanity of staring at a wall for an hour. Otherwise, an hour feels like a week. Trails are not too bad but I've always got some untreated tarmac to do to get there, if I'm on my ribble, it's country lanes and they're lethal too at the minute. As soon as the ice is gone, I'm out!
Not been out for nearly a fortnight. Still ridden to work every day this week, it's only just under two miles but at - 5 that's enough.
Although I’ve been trying hard with Zwift it just isn’t working properly, so today I braved the elements. it was relatively warm when I set off, but two hours later I was very cold.
A steady 40 odd miler today, stopped for a spot of brekkie… Two poached eggs on sourdough toast, sesame seed coated avo, chilli jam,..washed down with a mango and banana smoothie, happy days ! @Multirider75
I can confirm that slick tyres and ice do not mix and also that Lycra offers minimal protection from impact. Ouch.
How Hipster of you. Non slick tyres are useless on ice too, Lyra doesn’t offer much protection against barbed wire either. Hope you’re riding tomorrow no excuses.
Reinstalled my Zwift setup, 41” TV and Apple TV in the garage to replace the old iMac, seems to work much better. Due to a massive Sunday/Christmas lunch at the village pub it won’t be tested properly until tomorrow.
go for a nice cycle ride he said, it's mild now, and you've got two new inner tubes he said, what could possibly go wrong?
like a Bird brain, I forgot to take the spare, had to walk over a mile before I found a street lamp. I normally of course have the water nearby to find a puncture but said to myself: – don't worry, you can hold it up to your ear and listen! (drowned out by A3 traffic on wet road)
I know there will be different flavours of this, but I'm very interested to know what you would do as the quickest way to fix a puncture and get going again. PM me please if you think there will be controversy . I see lots of these compressed air capsules discarded on the road, but there must be more to this than just adding more air..
