  1. That first pro video is mesmerising, thank you for sharing. I suppose if you own the real thing for use and you want something in your study to remember it this is a better way to go than buying a 2nd bike just to serve as an ornament.

It is expensive, no doubt but for me the main issue is having seen the quality of the pro details, which I couldn't replicate, I wouldn't be satisfied with basic installation.

Otherwise would love to have it on my bookshelves with these two.

  2. One of my best pals works in the R&D Department at Hornby Hobbies as a model maker (Hornby own the Pocher brand). He put together the first prototypes of this, once they were happy it had to go off to Bologna for approval by Ducati. Lovely way to earn a living but the pay is crap!

  4. If you have what I can only assume would be a vast amount of money to spend on a model, then the person who designed the Ultra detailed Autograph Transfer kit offers a construction service.

    https://www.modellbauwerkstatt-trape.de/leistungen-projekte/

“We offer individual construction service of model vehicles

    - Build your model kits with or without extra detail.
You have a model kit that you would like to have built or
You would like to make this model more detailed,
then we are your contact person

Manufacture of accessories for your model kit according to your ideas:

    e.g. B.: Photo etching parts
    e.g. B.: Turned & Milled Parts
    e.g. B.: Designing 3D elements for 3D printing
    However, you want to build your model (kit) yourself in additional detail;
You lack the possibilities of implementation, then we are your
Contact person for the production of supplier parts.

Prices depend on the type and scope of the order and are discussed individually.

Due to the high number of orders, no further orders for one-off production can currently be accepted.”

Given the time and expertise involved the total price would be astronomical.

If you take the original kit price + the full transfer kit + paying for a professional modeller + the glass case pocher sell to keep it in.

  5. That’s a lot of money for a small amount of paint - but I guess it adds up when you have primer - all of the different colours and lacquer.

But at you are in the spending mood - there’s some extra detailed parts for your model too! :p

  7. As it’s such a subject matter, is it a trade secret how much this costs or have we all gotta go online and look it up?

  8. There's a link on the first page

  9. Yes, that's true.

  10. It’s absolutely beautiful & I guess like anything, if you have the money, it’s worth £726.
My issue with it, is that for me, model building has always been about the art of the build & that is just assembling someone else’s work so its not for me but it is gorgeous to look at.

  11. Yes it's a great model, but with apologies to the OP, I totally agree with the above.
It's not model making, but a very detailed assembly job, which I'm sure is completely satisfying in it's own sway.

  12. I bought this exact kit not long ago, then realised I needed near on £100 in paints, so I took it back for a refund. The thing with the Tamiya kits is they only really work if you do loads of them as you build up all the paints and can use them across various models, but if you just want to build one to a nice standard it's expensive and wasteful

  13. I've got a Tamiya F-14 1/32 waiting to be built, and theres probably 15-20 little (expensive) pots of paint you need. Who knew there were 12 different greys alone needed for one plane? o_O

  14. My thoughts exactly ! ..it was a Christmas present from my partner two years ago ( before I had the 1/1 version)
So I do feel a tad guilty selling it on, but better someone else benefitting from it, than it sat gathering dust.

  15. You don’t. Base & gun metal greys are enough with a silver, mix & use touch up powder brushes to weather, age, scorch etc

  16. Lovely kit that I’ll get round to building a version soon.

Save your Silver and paint it in Iranian colours, the only 2 countries to use them in anger……possibly.
