  1. I’m pretty sure they won other victories after Iswandlwana, given their lack of rifles well done them.

  2. Neither did the British Army, plenty of occasions they’ve come away with bloody noses. Fall of Singapore largest single defeat of the British Army 85,000 surrendered.

  5. No there isn’t. Thought a Google hero like you would know this??

  6. The Zulu’s did have a smattering of rifles. And they certainly had astronomical numerical advantage. But they lacked strategy and general sense… Ah well…

  7. If you can plough your way through it , James A. Michener - The Covenant, is well worth a read.
Getting a bit owf topic now.

  8. Getting well tired of the slow Hollywood style drawn out bollox the Handmaids Tale has turned into
Its a shame, it started off with such premise

  9. And is being seen all over the Muslim world at the moment too! And from my brief return to Twitter, it’s not far off in the states either….

  10. I'm half way through season 2 at the mo, and its keeping me rivetted, but i guess with 5 seasons its gonna push the tale to its extreme limits...Elisabeth Moss is a good actress though, and she was good in Mad Men too.

  11. Mr missus is watching it. I dip in and out, but really struggle with the whole concept. Which is testament for how well it’s written and acted

  12. I enjoyed it, although I have to agree it was bleed white toward the end.
Just finished S3 of His Dark Materials, don't usually have anything good to say about the beeb..But, it was rather good and I now want my own snow leopard familiar...o_O

  13. I struggled with the first series, gave up on the second, haven’t even thought about the third.

  14. They had a great strategy hence their defeat of the British at Iswandlwana, it wasn’t blind luck that won the day.

  15. No British concentration camps for the Boers during the 2nd Boer war, so no strategy to remove the population from the countryside of South Africa. To remove any assistance being given to the Boer fighters you say.

So yes one of the many unsavoury acts the British did during the age of Empire was concentration camps. There are many more suppressed at the time and not really taught at school of the cruelty of the British. You should try and read a book, but I doubt you’ve the attention span to finish more than a paragraph.

  16. Ayeeee…. :)

  17. You should try and read a book too. Start with Janet & John and work your way up. Your posts don’t make sense.
