  1. It was the 968 the last of the 944’s
I was originally looking out for a 928 but I was young and couldn’t afford the petrol to run the 4.5/5.0L V8

  2. That's the one and a what a sound from the exhaust note, my father said at the time that was the most expensive lost in twelve months motoring for him. it cost for memory £58,000 new back in 1989.

  3. Some cool people drove 924 's

  7. Wowsers, a quick search reveals £58,000 in 1989 is worth £184,623.96 in todays terms

  8. Is it not the right one? George, Steve & Bazza seem to have liked it!

  9. He went back to 911 range where you didn't lose money with my all time favourite 964 Carrera 4 at £59k, clearly earning way too much money back then and not sharing it out with me.

  10. It's a 924Gt i think that the factory gave to him after he'd won the 24Hrs Le Mans.

  11. I was already a runaway by then, so I don't know alot about Barry's 4 wheel races. I seem to remember him being filmed -perhaps an advert?- in a 928 though.

  18. you don't think that Stavros looks a bit like Bob? I think due to ageism, I might have even made the same joke before.

  20. Yes, you are right; Parrish does resemble the gravelly voiced fellow. I remember when George Harrison died and thinking he was quite old. Its 20+ years ago now, and he was actually only 58. Bazza passed age 52. They both died within a year of each other.
