translated Ducati will announce the signing of Cal Crutchlow in the next 24 hours as a pilot officer in MotoGP brand for seasons 2014 and rumored signing 2015.El more than fulfills the aspirations of the British, others are not to be official driver of participants factories World top flight. Crutchlow will replace Nicky Hayden, Dovizioso Andra accompanying with existing contract Borgo branded spaces Panigale.Con two Yamaha rider and Honda covered, to Crutchlow had only the option of being first sword of the Italians, which is expected to continue evolving his bike and can offer a competitive bike into English that allows fighting for the podium in every race, something that makes the Yamaha satélite.Audi should make all the stops to make it happen , otherwise Crutchlow's racing career could spend two years in the shadow, as has happened with the multi-champion Valentino Rossi.
Cal will never win a GP title so he may as well grab as much retirement funds as possible and fanny about with the CRT's
I think this be dependant on Audi's interest in moto gp. Hopefully they will throw everything at it next year?
Good for him I say. Set up for life financially with a good chance that he'll gel with the bike or it'll be sorted during his contract. Also he'll have the benefits of being a works rider. Wise decision imho.
I think he'd be mad not to move. Nobody expects great things of the bike, Audi will be pulling out all the stops. He gets a fantastic salary and the chance of another decent ride in 2 years time whatever happens here. Not winning on this bike won't do his reputation any harm. Let's face it, his only option was to stay with Tech 3 for a quarter of the salary (if that !)
First Brit on a Factory bike for nearly 10 years - and it's the Ducati. It'll give us some interest if nothing else. The best available move for Cal IMHO. I'd have done the same if they'd asked me ;-)
Wish him the best, great to see a Brit get a factory ride and a Ducati to boot! Lets just hope bologna can turn this around
Meh. I won't be able to watch him anyway, shitting BT. Good luck to him, I've got a feeling the ducati is going to be a surprise next year as Audi get more involved.
You can't blame the lad; he wants to stay in motogp but had nowhere else to go, and you can bet there was a big fat cheque being waved in his face. Good luck to him.
This is brilliant news. Cals great for the sport and its great for us British Ducati fans that he's got that ride, its about time we had a rider in a factory team. As people have mentioned above he can't get it wrong, that GOAT bloke I've heard about couldn't do anything with it so why not try? With a tail wind, a bit of Audi logic, a lot of Audi money and you never know what might happen, nobody saw 2007 coming did they? Lets just get behind him, he deserves the support and most of all from us!
