Rapidbike Evo Mapping Advice For Panigale 959

  1. Hi all,
    rapid bike evo advice needed!!!
I've got a 2016 959 fitted with a decat pipe, arrow end can and bmc air filter. The bike is always used on the road and I've never been on track.
I've fitted a rapid bike evo module to take care of the fueling as im afaid of damaging the engine running incorrect fuelling with the mods ive made to the exhaust and sport airfilter. But now i need advice on loading the correct base map.
On the rapid bike master software site there is a list of maps available to download onto the module as base maps, many bikes have multiple base maps marked as "std" or "mod" for the 959 there is only the 959std option. Which I'm guessing is the map for a standard bike?
With this being the only listed map for the 959 does this mean I download the std map then drive the bike and let the rapid bike evo module auto adjust the fuelling to soot the modifications I've made to the exhaust system and airfilter?
I've read a load of posts about the rapid bike module were users drive the bike let it adjust the fuelling then save it and drive more let it adjust again and save and so on, till the fuelling is spot on. I understand that part, I just want to make sure that downloading the "std" base map will be OK on a bike with decat pipe ect as I'm sure the std map will need major adjustment to suit my mods.
    Best regards Frank

  2. Yes that’s correct Frank

I have a 959 with a Sprint filter and a 1299 exhaust system with the valve removed - not quite as extreme as the decat pipe but still pretty different from the stock setup.

Take it out for a first run and try to take it all the way though the gears as much as you can - it’s quite difficult to do on the road for obvious reasons but the more of the rev range you can cover the quicker the Rapidbike can get the info it needs to make adjustments.

You can save and apply the first set of adjustments quite quickly - don’t ride it for hours - then repeat as often as you like.

I did mine after each trackday until the changes being made were very small and then reduced the adjustment range down to 3.

Any help you need PM me. (edit - just saw it was your first post - you won’t be able to PM me)

  4. Thank you LiveFast for the quick reply and info!
Makes me feel a lot better now and gives some peace of mind.
My main reason for choosing the rb module was to make sure my bike was fuelling correctly after the modifications and maybe smooth out some of the low rev lumpyness rather than hoping for maximum power gains.
I choose the rapid bike module as it aways got glowing reports from everyone who uses them. The build quality of the module and loom is very very good but the lack of info supplied in the box on downloading maps and adjusting fueling had left me feeling like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
Granted I haven't downloaded the base map yet and started the auto adaption process so it may seam more self explanatory when I actually get started using the software.
I'll download the 959std map tomorrow and upload it the the module, unfortunately we've had heavy snow here for the past 2 days so it might be next week b4 I can get the bike out a blast and let it start auto adjusting!!!

Thanks again LiveFast you really have lifted a massive weight off my shoulders, this was really stressing me out.
    Best regards Frank

  5. Hello everyone, I am new to the forum.
Since we are talking about rapid bike here I will try to ask you a question.
I have a used rapid bike evo, previously installed on a Monster S4r 996 like mine. I don't know what the configuration was on the previous bike, so I was looking for a mapping on the Master software for open exhaust (without catalyzer) and sport air filter. But in the repository there is only mapping for stock S4r and I don't think the auto-adaptive mode is available for my bike. Can anyone help me?
Does anyone have a mapping for my configuration?

    Thank you!
