Understood John, but talking vans generally, and how are they supposed to replace what we have for the average trader, that's all that was meant. Heating a car electrically might not take much out of the overall storage but more difficult in an Artic etc. The silent "buzz" (npi) you get from either an electric bike or car accelerating hard, has to be experienced to be believed, agreed.
TBH, I don't believe 'electric' is the future and as far as commercial use, vans, haulage, HGVs etc it definitely doesn't come close to replacing the combustion engine, not to mention our pride enjoy, motorbikes. The EV serves our purposes here at home and even though I haven't tried an electric bike, but like the car, I can certainly appreciate the instant torque, but it would be hard for me to switch from the shear enjoyment of my V4 engine. Fingers crossed for the future of alternative carbon free fuels. I do respect all opinions by the way, I don't think any of us are experts. lol
A little frustrating today as i'd my negative feedback remove from a ebay the company within 15/20 minutes, the goods were no good but totally useless from the ebay seller, he was very rude to me as well,...whjat's the point of feedback if it's removed. I was outside the 30 days rule for a refund, but i explained that i'd made contact with the seller before the time lapsed regarding the issue and it was over the christmas period, but fallen on deaf ears. I've since removed most watch items on my list and won't be buying NEW goods for 2 months.............now take that you BENT bastards.!!!
Put a pallet of bricks in the back and watch the mileage drain away then ask the customer if you can use there hook up for some more juice, then they say take it of the bill i owe you I think its Fords who have a new van out that does more milage, i still won't get one

That sounds great, now. But once the government get more people into electric cars, all those incentives will disappear, and it’ll cost the same to run as an ICE car.
Unless the price of domestic electricity becomes more expensive than petrol & diesel, which I doubt will happen, and after driving a diesel BMW X1 for 4 years and paying approximately £50 a tank two or three times a month previously, I have saved about £1700 in fuel in the last 18 months plus about £600 on road tax, so even when road tax is introduced for EV's in 2025, it won't be anywhere near the cost of an ICE car. But I guess time well tell.
It's ok as i've made up for it at lunch and dinnertime today, i must get a bigger pair of trousers, Lol
About £28K, which was a few grand cheaper than my previous 2.0 Diesel. As I mentioned earlier, it serves our purpose, but each to their own, eh.
Thanks -I just learnt something from you. The operating cost reductions I expected, but the saving on purchase was a surprise. Whilst I expect there are differences (apart from the obvious) between this and your previous car; its interesting that you've found an alternative that you rate after having owned it a long time.
In Hanoi most folks are focused on making a living. Bring offended by everything and anything doesn't really feature. The interest is in the fuel price, inflation, dollar/dong exchange rate, etc. There's not time to be offended other than by the most recent fuel price increase.
