I regretted selling my owned from new CB900FA, bought from Ryes of Fulham, as I saw it disappear down the driveway. Seller’s remorse drove me to immediately search the MCN Classifieds where I found a fully loaded Martini Yamaha 1100. Within a week of ownership I realised I wasn’t happy riding the Mack truck of the motorcycle world, so went to the local dealership to see what they had. I managed to do a straight swap for a low miles secondhand Moto Guzzi LeMans Mk2. The regret of parting with the CB900 then diminished quite quickly
When I was 17, I got a 1984 Yamaha RD125LC with a custom paint job, sold it just before I turned 19 In 2005, I bought a brand new Suzuki GSXR1000 K5, biggest regret was selling it 2 1/2 years later I now own (amongst the many bikes) another K5, still one of the best superbikes ever built
For pure nostalgia, the bike that gave me the independence of two wheeled transport and led me on to where I am now it has to be my FS1E.
That was it ‘finished’ Was my work transport and ‘fun’ bike for about 10 years. Sold it to someone that stripped it, bolted on shiny bits from unity equip and only rode it occasionally.
