For Sale Ebay Bikes

  1. Sort of begs the question about what else has been craftily hidden...? Probably not just the fact the mileage is in fact over twice what the advert suggests, especially given the ask is top dollar! Caveat emptor and all that...

  2. Just looking into this more, the one KevB linked to, shows 2 owners

Whereas, the first one lists as one owner

    This is getting more confusing

I can't make out the plaque number from the bike at Lusso in the pictures, but, the video is interesting, it confirms it as #455, but also, at 2 mins 20 seconds, he stated that he sold it to one of his regulars a couple of years ago, then, at 2 mins 44 seconds, then states it is a bog standard, one owner bike

  3. The sum that comes to mind is probably at the £5k mark extra plus with that mileage difference, let's hope people if & when they do purchased it come and view this section or do their checks or they're will be a little bit disappointed.

  4. Another thing to note on the 888, one site lists it as 1994, the other site lists it as 1993

  5. Noted, but that could be just down to a sloppy salesman not doing his homework.

  6. See this image: https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1541425#&gid=1&pid=7
Also the Michelin decal is quite distinctive as well as other details like hose connectors, etc. It is clearly SP4 #455

The MOT history also odd as it shows the large drop from 25K (reported as miles) to 7.5K (reported in miles) in 2013 then no MOT.
    Anywhichway, hopefully all explainable...

  8. SP4 - 1992 but may have been registered in UK in 1993...?

  9. Got a good memory for somethings, although my wife's Birthday and our wedding anniversary seems to regularly slip my mind!

  10. Could two bikes have the same number plaque?
One an SP3 and one an SP4?

  14. 3 pages of Superbike factory.com shite.

  15. I disagree.
I have 2 of these bikes, which in a good state of repair look fabulous and are great fun to ride (if you aren't worried about speed).
Replacement parts are very difficult to acquire. I definitely wouldn't try building a bike from those. but if you need a fork yoke, side pannier, brake hub for example. It's a good starting point if it goes for the right price.

  16. My comments were based on the type of listing, basically written with a speech impediment and what's in the photograph, not a lot by the looks of things....
    :)
