I now have the Ohlins internals, flatter and adjustable clip-ons, RCS 19 MC, Ohlins TTX rear and race pads up front. If that isn't worth a tenth per lap then I have done my usual thing of spaff a load of dough.... for a load of show
I would have needed adjusted bars, and rearsets to move my feet back if I'd have kept it, its such a small bike. you can see from my profile pic I was literally nearly sat on the back seat of the bike and only just 'comfortable'.. Hmm.. thinking of getting another F3... Stop me...
Rearsets need to be sorted, if only for more ground clearance and race shift. I believe my 2015 needs a little electronics magic to also accept a blipper. I could do with shorter legs
mine was a 2020; so had the updated electronics and the blipper which was totally flawless! The only thing that was really poor was the traction control, it was better turned down to the min as it felt like a horrendous misfire when it came in.
You are giving that some gas man loving those forks bottoming out. I turned the TC off. Figured 148 bhp was unlikely to cause excessive slide.
They are yeah, you don't realise it on the road because you don't move around on it, and actually the closeness to the bars makes it really comfy, you are sat fairly upright. I'm a fair bit chubbier than Paul by the looks of it, so folding up my fat thighs was a challenge! but we are both 6ft I would imagine, and really you need to be MAX 5ft 8/9 for an F3 I'd say.
No lap records set but at least we are out doing it. 27 Feb. Donny. 6 degrees rising to 8. Moist. Love it.
