Not quite the same, but Iggy regularly shoves his nose between the sofa cushions and nods off while luxuriating in the mingled scent of his beloved humans, spilled tea and ginger biscuit crumbs.
This was "Fred". We adopted him in the late '60s when he was about 2 years old, his chair came with him as part of the deal. Totally deaf but a real character genuinely loved sitting up in his chair in the front room bay window watching the world pass by outside.
Luckily I have a dog friendly pub about 3 doors down from me (it’s not why I moved here, honest). Sadly they don’t do food but they put sausages and roasties on the bar on Monday afternoons and we always pop in for a start of the week pint cos they do my Kenny a little bowl of his own .
