I don't think I fairly represented the trip in the original post. Although 8 are going and I know all 8, there's a click of me + 2, 3 and 2 and that's how we will ride throughout the trip. We can and will all set off at different times, on different routes to a pre-agreed destination. Arrival is not fixed either and we may not stay in the same digs as a group, but we will all try to have our evening meal together around 8pm, but again, no rules. The only time the group will be together on bikes is on the trip to and from the ferry and probably to the first nights digs. Hoping to have the usual enjoyment of riding with my regular mates and adding some company each night.
There’s always some you get on with more than others. Part of biking is the craic for me. And the speed, sometimes scary. But I’d more happily ride slower and be bored than be alone
Waited in for a parcel that arrived 10min after I left, then did 4hrs of fishing in the dark , now pissed up on me boat. Shit week to be honest.
Lovely walk with the woofs this morning. This afternoon About 45 mins out on a bike for the first time in a long while, 75mph felt very fast and loud. Called in for a cuppa with my dad, always pleased to see me arrive on a bike.
A nice 18 holes, shot +9 which is very good still for me. And have a village dinner party tonight….different houses for different courses…normally gets late and messy! *no pampas grass or keys and bowls are harmed at this event…
Drinks…then starter…main…desert. So 4. You don’t know where you’re going for the one you aren’t hosting until the end of the previous course and you open an envelope and it tells you.
Had a drive out today Been feeling pants all week from treatment The side effects seem to have been worse since my steroids were lowered
I’ve started my annual treatment of my all my leathers and jackets etc in readiness for the warmer weather.
Took my youngest skiing not far from my work yesterday. Alas the campervan's heating isn't working...so woke up this morning to a minus 13°C interior. Was tough for the first couple of hours (British understatement) ...but had a great day skiing by the end!
