Streetfighter V2

  1. Ooh nice. I'm looking forward to seeing that little lot fitted.

  2. Had an EP tail-tidy from Santa - now fitted and very pleased. It came with 2 spacers to extend the width of the indicators. I only used 1 on each side which is fine for now, but pretty sure I'll need to add the extra ones when it comes to MoT time in 2 years...

  3. The maintenance charging lead that fits on the diagnostic port also arrived at my Ducati Cambridge this week (part no. 5101G732A). I wasn't sure where best to route it but I came up with this way which managed to get it tucked away pretty neatly. Figure I can use some sticky velcro if it decides to wiggle forward by itself.
I turned the diag port to face to the rear and by undoing a couple of underside screws that were holding the rear plastics together I was able to slip the wire between where it joins so it comes out through a small hole where the rear light connector is. Works with my existing optimate fine. Here are some pics in case it's useful for others - but also open to other ideas...

  4. Have you managed to get it all fitted? I was also thinking about the carbon exhaust tip you ordered, could you post some photos and does it replace or fit over the top of the original?

  5. How does one top up / change the oil on this bike?
I was looking at one recently and was surprised at how obstructed the oil fill cap is

  6. I haven't done it myself, but pretty sure I'll need to top it up when the season starts again - currently looks empty in the viewing window, hoping that's normal while it's cold as it says to check it when it's hot!

I was planning to buy one of the funnels that has the flexible hose, like this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-56141-Flexible-Funnel/dp/B0001K9WB2

Pretty sure you'd be able to undo the rear-brake module and slide it aside. Someone else here must have already tried it..

  7. Use the velcro now. The connector will rattle around and start to take the gloss finish off the paintwork inside the cowl. Halfords sell good automotive velcro.

  8. Good point - i'll get onto it..

  9. I’ll get a pic of where mine is, but it’s nowhere near any bodywork, and is quite well hidden.

  10. Here's mine. It's connected directly to the battery. 20230130_114730.jpg

  11. Heres my v2 , just fitted loads of carbon parts (exhaust heat shield was a pita !) fitted the arrow exhaust with Exhaust Servo Eliminator , not had a single cell light. R and G frame sliders which was quite an easy install but the bolts they supply must be made of chocolate !! Got no where near the torque settings needed without the bolt heads stripping. Thanks to evoboy for the fantastic job he did in wrapping my winglets. Fitted the new rage tail tidy with built in turn signals , just waiting for the front indicators to be delivered , Rizoma clutch and brake reservoirs , quad lock phone mount and charger , removed the rear pegs , evo radiator covers , bar end mirrors . Think thats it for the time being .

  12. Looks good. I didn’t realise there were frame sliders available, so might get a set of those.

  13. That looks awesome! I'm particularly interested in the Arrow exhaust. Did you put any miles on the clock with the original? I'm looking at doing the same mod, but the bike already runs lean from the factory, so I'm thinking it needs a map. I added a Termi map to my Supersport when I changed exhausts, but for the Streetfighter I've been looking at the Bren-tune option. Any info you can give on how the bike runs/sounds etc, would be great.

  14. Love the colour of that.:):upyeah:

  15. Hi buddy, I fitted the exhaust when it only had about 150 miles on it, it's still not run in yet so due its 1st service soon. Mine also runs too lean I think which I hope they will sort out when it's serviced. Apart from the sound the new exhaust feels no different to the stock exhaust, I'm also considering a remap.

  16. Oh it sounds fantastic, but ridiculously loud without the baffle in !!!

  17. Hi Handymoose,

Just wondered why your pillion pegs are a dark grey colour. Did you have them painted?

    Thanks.

  18. Those red reservoirs look like nipples, and not in a good way.

  19. They look good to me, and maybe even better on my red SF. I'm guessing the mounting brackets have them sitting up straight like they should be, rather than flopping over on an annoying angle like the OEM's?
