  2. Thanks for the round up. Nick Mee do have a good rep!

Truth be told, I’m not sure there’s another main dealer I would trust. Many I’ve experienced have had pretty dire knowledge on the cars o_O

I’ll let you know how I get on mate :)

  3. Main dealers eh. Cars or bikes all the same.
    Good luck with it.

  4. +VAT at SMC Sheffield!

  5. You think these charges are bad. Last year a Ducati store/service centre was opened in Dundee (part of the Ducati Manchester group). A friend who has a Multi 1260 Enduro took it to them recently for its annual service since it was under warranty. He was shocked to find he was charged labour at £110/hr and presumably VAT on top of the lot. I could understand that rate in a big city paying big city rates but the Dundee place is in a small industrial unit.

  8. Ducati Glasgow (the same group) the last time I was there was only £85/hr and that was around the time Dundee opened. Glad I didn't go to Dundee!

  9. Only £85! :astonished: Man, I seriously undercharged as a software freelancer.

  10. Yeah only was used very loosely!

  11. My mate has just had a software update to his Hypermotard that cost nothing, it may well be you were overcharging.

  12. Thanks for your support.

  13. No justification for being £30 /hr plus VAT more than Ducati Sheffield!

  14. Can’t recall if I said much the same on this thread/forum earlier but yes it’s a bit of a room off there. Kept me hanging around 3 hours longer than promised because they only had one technician. That wasn’t news to them, they planned to hire another this year when season hots up.

To be fair when I went to pay the +£400 SF service they did give me….10% discount off the £25 cap I bought. He even had to ask the manager if ok to do! Nice guys but clueless when it comes to customer satisfaction and not sure I’ll bother going down with the Pan.

  15. I have got similar cost queries with my 1299 (see other thread). 340 for oil and service job. My indie costs 160 all in but no reset tool.
A fellow member on here has a reset device so might go that route

  16. Just had my bike serviced at Ducati Dundee.
Multi 1260, 3rd year annual service.
Labour rate is £95 / hr plus vat, so that is £114 / hr.
They will not be doing the 4th year service.

  17. I had both my bikes serviced in May at Dundee. I agree the hourly rate is expensive but I don’t think it’s that much more than the majority of dealers nowadays. I’m sure BMW is 3 figures per hour for example. I was really impressed by Andy the technician at Dundee. As I took 2 bikes at the same time he did them both along side each other. He also took me through during the work and showed me everything he was doing and showed me any small issues he found.

  18. BMW mini is £158.00 an hour a friend of mine had their car serviced recently and I was intrigued at how much it was

  19. Not much difference between the 2nd and 3rd year annual service work.
However there was a 35% cost increase , that to me is not acceptable.
Spoke with the tech, decent guy as you said.
