Whoa!! although it's wasn't the knock-out punch I liked the first straight right but the second had such speed & power. Neither seem to be out & out boxers... & both got caught a little square, with their hands low.
No doubt comes from the environment they grew up in - like Latin Americans in boxing. Take Golovkin - when young his brothers took him out in the streets to pick fights for him against grown men..... Ha-ha-ha.... perfect description.
The St0tch thing came to being as some perceived it to be a slur on those born north of the border separating England from Scotland is my understanding.
What the chuff... surely if you really did want to slur those born north of the border you'd come up with something a little better than Sk0tch.
What a cracking fight! worthy of standing up at the end and chucking a tenner into the ring. That's what you get with two boxers with heart, fitness & skill and know exactly what they are doing. Loads of fights are unrealistically hyped nowadays so it's good to see one that delivers. Btw, when were beards allowed to be worn in fights?
Fight of the Year contender so early on! Last year for me was Michael Conlan v Leigh Wood. Ok, Fury v Wilder 3 was also great but Conlan v Wood was tremendous…

Yeah, real bad blood before this one and there was no show boating or entertaining the crowd from Ali. He was quite viscous & nasty and just gave him an humiliating 'whupping'. "What's my name" indeed
Cooper was a pretty decent boxer but just cut far too easily... took advantage of Ali's low right hand with his 'enrys 'ammer left mind. And the result may have been different if it wasn't for some glove shenanigans in Ali's corner after the bell. Was this the only time Ali was put on the deck?
I think Frazier also put him down (but not out) in their first fight. Edit: I just checked google and in addition to Frazier and Cooper, there was one more, Chuck Wepner, but that was actually most likely a slip. Edit: That should read "two more" - Chuck Wepner and Sonny Banks. https://boxing-guru.com/blog/who-are-the-only-4-men-to-drop-muhammad-ali/
I don’t believe it is, however it’s a rarity to see him down in his prime. I’m not an expert on boxing having only a passing interest in the sport due to my lad taking it up to keep fit. Unfortunately my lad hasn’t good eyesight without corrected vision so has given up boxing. Didn’t Henry knock him down in their next meeting? Quick edit, after reading Z’s link means that statement question is incorrect.
Ooo... I forgot about that. Yeah, the one they say broke his jaw in the 15th round. I liked Frazier, a tough, strong no nonsense boxer. And a good man too - I believe he financially helped Ali when he came out of jail.
It’s not the best punch of all time but my boy (white vest) lands a decent left hook in this clip of him fighting and winning by unanimous decision the other night. Looks to have good footwork & movement as well...I liked the way he danced back when pressurised. Good to see.
