I'm interested in seeing what custom suit designs people have had made and looking for some inspiration. I've come up with the following ideas but I'm not the creative type at all... I'm not sure about the 'Ducatista' bit and inclined to leave it out. The lower back text is partly ironic and also a reference to my girlfriend, so that's staying for my own amusement. Any (constructive) input on design and colours would be welcome and I'd love to see what you lot have come up with. It's based on the Misano D-Air suit. I think you use your own back protector with these but someone said that his came with one. Let me know if you have info on this - I suspect he just got a back protector thrown in with it and thought it came with one? I'm probably going to have a version of the VR46 colours on the bike or the Ducati winter testing colours but the suit doesn't have to match.
I prefer lower one in vr46 colours, coz i is a fanboy. I too would be inclined to leave ducatisti off.
My 2pc is VR46. my 1pc isnt tho, just a Laguna Seca 5. But it does have red trim... The Dainese shop in London is very good (shoreditch way)
I'm in Prague unfortunately (well, not unfortunately... it's awesome). They've just started doing the fittings here. I need custom fit to get the knee sliders off my shins, so I might as well go with a custom colour at the same time. Dainese do a shorter leg version of their suit that I already have but I want one with airbags. I did have the Alpinestars full airbag thingy (something with the number 10 in its name) but it quite quickly lost the ability to charge and a check online shows various issues with it. I don't fancy being a beta-tester for this sort of thing. I've looked into all the options and fancy the Dainese despite the need to send the suit off if the airbags go off.
Don't know if it's changed now, but you only used to get one charge with dainese. So if your doing a couple of days ,or a euro ,and crash early, you've used it up. Happened to a mate of mine, 2 days at cadwell. Crashed on day 1,airbag goes off. Crashed on day 2, no airbag and a broken Collar bone.
That is the only issue with it. I like the Alpinestars airbag tech but they don't do custom fit and I've not really seen anything in my location that I prefer. I guess a second suit might be needed at some point.

No way I'd ever rely on anyone else. wifey, girlfriend or not. Go with your instinct. White will show up grey eventually and deed flies and blood etc.
Don't worry, I always choose what I am happy with - I'm bloody paying for it so I'd better be happy with it! I value her input on certain things though (and completely ignore it on others, not always with a good outcome).
