Anyone tried held leather suits?

  1. I need a new leather suit and some other stuff, and in my search i came across a german (i think?) producer named held (www.held.de) They have made-to-mesasure options, and u can choose between a lot of different colours etc. Prices seems good too. No dealers in Norway or Sweden according to their store locator page though, but there are quite a lot in the UK. Would give me an exuse to visit your beautiful country too

  2. Held are a good brand. I bought some Held soft panniers donkeys years ago that were just superb, the best quality luggage I've ever seen. Then bought a Held jacket in Germany maybe 10 or 12 years ago, and again the quality of the jacket was absolutely spot on. It was a good price too. Assuming they haven't dropped their standards in the meantime, I'd happily recommend them.

  3. Can't comment on their leathers but I have a pair of their textile trousers, very waterproof. I also have their Everest winter gloves which are excellent. I bought a couple of pair of gloves about 3years ago from them and they both failed on the same seam. they were well out of warranty but exchanged without question. No problem with the replacements.

  4. You ex military by any chance?

  5. Yes - Norwegian royal navy

  6. I purchased my 1st Held Slade suit a few months ago for track use, it's so good I purchased another for the road (gets sweaty on track).
Having had a few high class suits in my time i can't recommend these Held Suits highly enough...they are fantastic and great value for money.
I purchased from Motorcycle Clothing, Motorbike Leather Textile Jackets, Boots, Helmets they are a great bunch of guys to deal with
