A pipe only an owner ( who actually uses their bike ) could appreciate..!! Good thing it works so well weight and power wise
All back together ready to load next week. Annoyingly realised I didn’t clean all the awkward bits when it was in bits but it’ll do. Bought a new belly pan that runs further back but doesn’t fit with a side stand so will chop that up when I can be bothered. The fairings are quite tatty so I need to think up a plan for sorting that at some point this year. Almeria has a mental long back straight so with less weight and more power I’ll be interested what speeds I can get. Between me and the bike it should be 25-30kg less and +12bhp over the last time I rode it!
Yep. I’d be taking a hacksaw to that quick sharp. Do you not wake up with cold sweats knowing that’s on your bike?
Back straight at Almeria is only 1km long and you'll need about 100m to brake from that sort of speed to make the right hander. The "gravel" is not very kind at the end of the back straight. Andy
I’m too fixated with looking for that path on the left (brake marker) to notice my indicated speed… fuken shifting, I know that … those kerbs come up alarmingly quickly even on full brakes. I stopped looking at the kerbs on the left and switched to the apex on the right. It’s much less scary
I had visions of brake failure. Hitting the cafe, going straight through it and out the other side. Laurel and Hardy stylee
So my starter motor went tits up in Almeria so didn’t get to ride. Then had a few oil leaks ruining a few days but hopefully now all sorted. Got Donington again soon. Sold my transit and bought a Ranger and a ridiculously big trailer so done a bit of work to that today fitting a shitty van vault and my generator, idea being it stays loaded and makes trackday prep a bit easier.
