I love a day trip to London. We usually have a nice lunch and then a show, which I did t really think was my thing but I enjoy them. Last one we saw was book of mormon, which sounded shit from the synopsis ,but was absolutely brilliant. Probably the best I've seen
Today was to celebrate my Auntie’s life. She died 2.5 years ago. No funeral. Etc. She was an artist and a biker. Real rock and roll chick from the age of mods and rockers. We went to the Tate Modern (15 of us) and looked at the art. I’ve never been to an art gallery before (well not since I was about 6). I quite enjoyed it even if I didn’t understand how much of it was “art”. We then had a meal and descended on a pub for a few pints. All in all I feel that if nothing else we have remembered her and that’s all that mattered. I’m feeling a bit down now tbh. A few regrets. Unlike me.
Made some shelves from pallets for my model room, quite pleased with them even if it took me most of the day
Yesterday I honed my wet weather riding skills with a 4 hour ride and 168 miles on country & coastal roads in the rain & wind. It was an awesome ride. So today I cleaned the bike, cleaned the garage and laid new matting. Overall a good weekend.
Monkeyed about Then went to our favourite pub for a late lunch. Even won the meat raffle Managed to upset the wife about two minutes before we got home. Thinking about starting a husbands during menopause forum.
Not a lot today, caught up with a friend and then watched a great rugby match between Leicester tigers / Saracens with Mike Brown getting a well deserved man of the match performance.
Well after a week or so of 70-100 bots trying to join the forum every day they’ve now slowed up again to just 9 or 10 a day now. Until the next onslaught of course
The better pictures are on my big camera but this was the view from the accommodation balcony. Quite close to the sea…..
This is the phone on the harbour wall just down from where you stayed……why have 1 button when you can have 3…. always makes me giggle
