Two days in a row the oldest ones rolled head to toe in fox shit. First time he’s ever done it in his life and he’s 6 this august. I know some people might see this as lucky but I’m not one of them right now. My red sauce supplies have been taking a severe hit too
Congratulations! You all have a lot of years of love, licks, lunacy and laughter to look forward to. He looks a fair bit like my Iggy did as a puppy.
Someone should get on the DNA splicing machine and make a dog/parrot hybrid. It’d be absolutely awesome, because in addition to all the usual doggie delights, it would live to about 75, you could teach it to talk and it would be able to fly.

Hehe Sadly, my beagle decided for the second time in two weeks to "do one" while out off the lead, and when did get close she decided not to come back as she was having fun. It was funny when she went 100m or so, this time she must of done 2miles before got hold of her. I know I know, shes a beagle and easily distracted/stubborn little moo but shes been so good since we rescued her last summer but now will have to be on the 20m lead for ever more at this rate, which is sad as love seeing them run like they should. So, after having to walk miles through 3 ploughed fields, across a drainage ditch, 3 laps of a lake and though some woodland with large spiny thorns and eye level branches - its very tempting to get a tortoise at this point!
If Iggy picks up a particularly interesting scent it’s a case of “nose on, ears off” but thankfully he never goes too far. Having said that, I’m just outside John O Groats at the moment, doing some of the NC500 in the motorhome with my eldest son, and when walking on a cliff top path in the pitch dark last night in a howling gale, he got a whiff of a rabbit and disappeared under the fence. Thankfully he didn’t go over the edge but it was a heart in mouth moment until he reappeared. Edit: perhaps I should clarify that it was Iggy and not my son that went chasing after a rabbit
