Now it's a bit warmer in the garage, over the weekend I started to strip down my 95 biposto to recondition and restore. I am sure I will have plenty of questions. Can anyone advise how I unplug the ECU?

Yeah I struggled with that the first time. As @cookster says, the side opposite the cable entry is hooked. Once you’ve unlocked the one side it swings out like it’s on a hinge. You won’t bend the pins.
Great, I’ll get on with that tomorrow night. One of the worst problems is the number of rusty fittings, particularly the Allen key heads, which are very difficult and frustrating to undo.
