  1. CASH! My mate has a 5k miles 2003 slabby, one of the very last ones. He was speaking with someone else on the owners group, apparently there are 25 yellow 748R's in the UK, and this other guys bike was insured with a guaranteed value of £15k which seems high! I think my mate paid £10500 for his in 2021.

  2. I wonder what you could expect to get back on the after market parts if you returned it to original spec.

  3. IMO, certainly not the £11 to £12 grand over what an 02 slab side 748R is selling for today. Andy

  4. mines one of them but a late 2002. that val seems high id be lucky to get 11 for mine with below 10k miles. i do have the stand and the original dust sheet so that would make up the missing 4k. i can sleep soundly tonight then.

  5. 888 SP4 Not eBay but https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1554272

Not sure how it was in Italy in a collection since 2004 as it was in NL for quite a while being ridden around, but it seems to have had a little makeover... caveat emptor and all that...!

  7. What amazes me is that, again, there are so many obvious things not 'original' and yet someone who 'knows' about these bikes will buy on the basis of a bit of shiny paintwork without checks, yet it takes five minutes... not sure the ad is particularly honest but the seller can claim ignorance (i.e. its what we wuz told guv...) i guess. Sigh... :(

  10. Well i certainly wouldn't let mine go for that money, unless of course they'd thumbscrews, moveover i guess it's a buyers market at the minute.

  11. It went for £6100 with only two bids, seems cheap to me.
