1200 DVT Gilles

  1. Just ordered a set though couldn't find any bike social discount for the life of me... Though I got a price match with sports bike shop anyway so all good

  2. I love Gilles products, and have been patiently waiting for them to offer rear brake and gear levers for the V4, but they still haven't, even though the bike has been out for about 18 months.

They've managed to produce rearsets for the V2 Streetfighter, which has been out for half the time, so am guessing they just won't bother with the V4 Multi. Which seems odd.

  3. Job's a good un.. easy enough to be fair, take it you guys binned off the little washer where the lever mounts to the brackets to? No mention of them throughout at all...

  4. Haha yes I did. Glad it wasn’t just me. Admit I went back over it a couple of
Times to check I hadn’t missed something. Done a good few hundred miles on them now and they’re fine so definitely just an anomalous piece

  5. Good good lol.. looking at them and the way the old ones worked they seemed pretty redundant on the design of these. Saves me a few sleepless nights and checking them a million times, cheers

  6. Same here. Not intended for use with the new levers.

  7. Just reinforcing my positive view on these several thousand miles later. The gear lever worked loose which was my fault for not loctiting the main bolt. Managed to sort it by in the car park of a tool station wjth some sticky stuff. The number of false neutrals especially between 5 and 6 was really annoying but I genuinely can’t remember the last time I’ve had one since I fitted these. Brilliant cure for a dangerous and really irritating problem of false neutrals.
