  1. Selling a lovely pair of Marchesini Magnesium Wheels.

Please check for fitting on your own bike but I believe these will fit the 748, 916, 996 and the 998 and probably a fair few others too.

Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves and you can see that they have been refurbished with black powder coat and are fitted with unused tyres!

The tyres are both Michelin Pilot Power 2CT 180/55 ZR17 (rear) and 120/70/ZR17 (front) and would cost over £300 on their own.

I have them on eBay for £1400 but happy to do £1250 for a forum member

Please feel free to PM with any questions

  2. And the later / better ribbed rear wheel. These don’t come up that often. GLWS.

  3. Mind me asking how much these weigh? I'd like to compare against my stock Multistrada wheels!

With tyres is fine as that's what they are currently on mine.

  4. Using my bathroom scales, the rear one is 10kg including tyre and the front is 8kg. Bloody light! Hope that helps.

  5. These wheels, on a Tamburini, make a MASSIVE handling difference. It makes a rather « heavy steering » bike handle like an 848… Truly impressive and absolutely addictive !

  11. I know I know, I might even tax the bike on 1st March if I’m still “glass half full” by then.

  14. mine dont have the ribs. what does that mean? lighter but worth less and less rigid?

  15. Just the older type mate. These were more prone to cracking on track. Nothing to worry about though. ;)

  16. Just before he sadly passed away, I asked Roberto Marchesini the same question as I couldn’t find a definitive answer…

  19. Mine are the unribbed ones. You will notice the difference immediately. Its the best mod you can make as it helps the bike so much. My old ones are languishing in my garage with the same tyres I left on them 15yrs ago.

It is one of most immediately apparent modifications that you can feel. Plus they look nice.

  20. You just need to pay attention on your first couple rides, as the bike will be way more agile and quick to lean inside turns. As a result, beware of not leaning to far inside. It might take you by surprise at first but will very quickly become a wonderful feeling… :D
