New To The Ducati World

  1. Hi everyone, im Jay from the wirral UK.
    Recently bought a 2013 848 streetfighter, carrying out some basic maintenance, exhaust valve delete and removed the servo unit and associated cables, oil and filter done, plugs and air filter on order.

  5. Haha thanks, just getting to grips with the bike, they need a lot of maintenance and up keep don't they! Was surprised that the belts need doing every 2 years, suppose its all part of owning the bike

  11. Welcome Jay. The Streetfighter 848 belts need doing every 5 years.

  14. Really! I'm panicking as they've not been done since 2019, but the bikes only done 3k miles since then
     
  15. Oh really mate, in Bebington, working at airbus at the moment so often around chester
     
  16. It’s in the owner’s manual. Replace the timing belts every 15,000 miles or 60 months.
     
  17. Never even thought to see what it said in the manual. I know the later bikes have a longer service interval. Did seem a little crazy having to have them replaced every 2 years
