  1. Sounds ominous !

  2. Is that bloke in the middle so cold he can't put on his tyre warmers?

  3. No. The abs sensor had been touching the phonic wheel and it caused a tc failure. Like having pit limiter constantly stuck on. Easy fix.

  4. See above.

  5. I had it with TC up to the max session one and backed it off in session two, then more off in session three. It’s like sitting on a rocket compared to the GSXR 750. Mind warping. No way I would have ridden like I did on the GSXR. The electrics are fooking amazing.

  6. Craners was actually ok. The Old Hairpin was very sketchy as was Melbourne Loop. I went in there quite hot in the second session and ran a bit wide. Felt like the front was going to tuck. Horrible.

EDIT. The whole circuit has been relaid over winter.

  7. Melbourne Loops sketchy at the best of times. Don’t think I’ve ever taken the same line in or out twice

  8. Really ? Well, obviously. Going to be interesting to see what the BSB boys think in March. Andy

  9. There's a line through there?

  10. Forgot I still had this on my phone from Portimao last year. Not very eventful really.
Think it was the last session on the last day so I was a bit tired.

  11. !:58s, nice and where I want to be this year.
    I am guessing V4 variant.
    Where was the camera located?

  12. Love Portimao, interesting end to this session last year.

  15. Yep 2019 V4S.
Just stuck on the battery cover mate.

  16. Broke my Euro duck with @cookster and a couple of other mates. Cartanega with No Limits. Really enjoyed the track after the first session shock of how technical it is. 17 corners is a lot to learn and, screw one up and you then suffer for the next few. Very heavy braking into turn one which I found really tricky (the turn, not the braking). Day two was a bit of a crash fest with a couple of big high sides, luckily none of us.
Track pretty abrasive - my new rear slick was well past its best on day three.
Hotel was decent. Found some nice food in the town and a few beers (some a few more than others!). Flight got cancelled (00:20 hrs Monday) so we enjoyed a further day (basically on the piss) in Alicante. I amazed myself by being able to ride every day thanks to good warm up and down exercises. Must continue to do that over here.
Couple of pics, sorry no action shots.

  17. It has taken me many visits to Cartagena to work out that turn one is really a double apex 180 degree turn.
I don't have much top speed, so brake at that white line after the pit exit and stay on the brakes past the first apex up to the turn in for the second apex.
    Seems to work.

  18. I got some tuition and got told both wheels over curb on first apex. Shift down one gear then both wheels on left curb before real late apex on two. I could do it at 75% just about but anything faster and I screwed it up. Avoided the gravel though. :)
