I watched one go in auction for £5600 last year. I bid £5500 but assumed it would go for a lot more. Prices not too strong at the moment it seems
It all depends if two persons are bidding at the sametime like an auction room fever in full flight, plus other factors like what's the overall condition etc come into play on the day.
Why is it when I don’t bother because I think it will go for stupidly high money they sell really cheap....
I used to make a load of money on the bay. Maybe 15-20 yrs ago. My method? Cheap items, say up to a hundred quid, start the auction at a quid. If it’s an expensive thing, like a 5k bike, maybe start it at £100. Once people get hyped and click watch, you’re sorted. People will bid on it in a frenzy. Just psychology. Auctions starting at 5k for something the owner want 7k is not gonna work out in the seller’s favour most of the time.
Ducati 955sp,a large price tag but considering there're only 55 made worldwide by the factory and some would not exist today from that headcount.! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22543727...vKgeVxZ7opUYhuZXwkNaO8LYg=|tkp:Bk9SR8jlvp7SYQ
When i collected my 916 back in March 2014 it was stored by a third party for the owner and after the event i was told he'd one in his garage a few doors down from where mine was stored, if only.!
i've got to ride one back from pRo twins to Dorking courtesy of the lovely Luccio, who you could often find reading an Italian newspaper sat in the sunshine at Box Hill. haven't seen him for a good five years now, and I fear he must've returned to Italy permanently now, a really lovely geezer.

3800 miles which you infer from the listing, have all been on track. Potentially a full engine rebuild if nothing has been done to it. Andy
