You can get a gasket

No gaskets on those joints on either of my 749s.
Gaskets are only fitted at the bolted flange to the cylinder heads.

 

Mine had gaskets from new.

you need these in the pipe joints:

 

Mine hasn’t got the gaskets on but it doesn’t suffer from leaks, albeit it could be down to carbon build up at the joints over time

 

Those are for the silencer connection. The vertical header does not have a gasket on the joint.

 

...yet the horizontal header does appear to have one, strange. I'm fairly sure I have them at each joint, though that could be me mixing parts as I had spare exhausts when I last rebuilt. Maybe adding one will cure @Duc748 's leak?
