Superb job on the tank. Did you have to use any special techniques to cope with the introduction of ethanol to our fuel these days? Also what thickness/how many layers did you use generally and at mounting points.

On a dry sump machine could you also use GRP for an oil tank?

 

I made this bike some years ago, the tank have two layers Aramide (KEVLAR) and one fiberglass, It was made with fuel resistant epoxi

A caricature I came across years ago of a pre 2001 machine.

 

That front mudguard, please wipe on some WD40 for a shiny finish.

 

Must be the angle of the shot
Being relatively new it’s as shiny as a shiny thing.

 

Oh yes that's better, but i do prefer the original carbon matt finish for that period.
